Embracing Winter

“The silence of a snowy forest is as palpable as the sensation of icy air on exposed skin. Every sound feels like it’s cradled in feathers as a sence of muted wonder takes hold.”
Heidi Barr~Woodland Manitou

I’m finding that winter is a time for reflection, for slowing down and quiet ponderings.

Winter is a time for quiet stillnesss and contemplation.

I’m finding winter to be a time of hushed prayers and counting sacred graces, in silent thoughts and whispered dreams.

“Snow was falling,
so much like stars
filling the dark trees
that one could easily imagine
its reason for being was nothing more
than prettiness.”
― Mary Oliver

Kim these are gorgeous. I love all the images you have shared. I am a little envious of the snow but not of the cold. Beautiful capture this month

Thank you so much, Sharleen. I actually don’t mind the winter snow, once we get climatized to the colder temperatures.
